Lace nails!

This is a lace nail design I did for new-years. It's quite simple, but still takes a while to do,  and it's really worth it based on how it looks in real life.
I thought I'd post this design while I work on a contest entry for TotallyCoolNails (on youtube) nail art contest themed love/valentines day. I'm quite happy with the result, and I'll post it later this week (:

Leopard print tutorial!

I absolutely love leopard print! It's my go-to design, cause it almost always turns out nice, but I always do the leopard print like this:

Or like this:

Witch as I mentioned I've done a couple times in different variations. But I have never actually tried to make it look like leopard patterned fur, so I thought I'd give it a try!
Here is a picture tutorial followed with a short explanation of each step (:

1. Paint the nails a solid blue.
2. Mix the original blue color first with white polish and paint thin brush strokes randomly all over the nail, to create highlights (forgot to take a picture of this step :/ ). And then do the same thing, but instead of mixing the blue with white, mix it with black polish, to create shadows.
3. Add random light blue spots of different shapes and sizes on the nails.
4. Take a brush that's a bit stiff, and only use the tip of it to pick up a tiny bit of black acrylic paint and paint quite sloppy around the edges of the light blue. Make sure the black is painted to the same direction as the background highlights and shadows.
5. Top coat and it's done! (I ended up adding some more highlights before the topcoat, cause the design showed up a lot darker in reality.)

Hope you like it (:

Striped french tip!

I thought I'd share this striped french manicure I had for my graduation until I have the next tutorial done!
It's quite easy to do and is  really pretty IRL. (Also my dress was black and white, so it matched perfectly ^_^)
Hope you liked it (:

First tutorial! :D

Yaay! Here's the first tutorial, don't really know what to call it yet. I think it looks kind of futuristic/spacey. Well, I hope you like it (:

Here comes a short explanation of each step:
1. Base coat, always a base coat!
2. I painted my nails with a quite opaque gray color, since I knew the silver I was going to use later is a bit sheer.
3. A coat of metallic silver polish.
4. I painted the half moon shapes with black acrylic paint (It looks messy at this point, but it will get better^^)
5. I filled in the spaces between the black lines with a white acrylic paint. And of course you could just stop and top coat at this step to finish the design, but I felt like keep on going.
6. By now I switched to black nail polish and painted a thin contour all around the nail. And the reason that I did this step with nail polish is that it would chip off so easily if I would have used acrylic paint so close to the edges of the nail.
7. Top coat the design to seal it in and it's done! (:
The reason my design turned out looking kind of weird is cause my top coat is a bit old and not of the best quality (can't afford a new one) so it messes up the design.

Hope you enjoyed it, and feel free to comment and show me if you tried out this yourself. (:

Winter nails!

Snowflake nails! Perfect for the winter, but I thought they where a bit hard to do. ^^
Btw, the newer pictures/tutorials I'm working on right now are going to be brighter and in a better quality (:

Yellow/Pink floral nails

I figured I'll post some newer favorites I've done quite recently until I have the first tutorials done. So here is a Yellow/pink floral design, I'm so in love with the color combination.
Also, feel free to show me if you do any remakes of the designs I've done (:

Old designs (:

Wiiie, nails! So I thought that I'd start of with 15 nail designs that I did last year, starting with the oldest ones  and then newer. So that you'll kinda know what's coming too, hope you like it (:

1. Sprinkles/Cupcake design I did on a friend of mine about a year ago. (:
2. Blue gradient french tip with some rhinestones, simple but I like it a lot.
3. Also a very simple design, but still eye-catching. (:
4. The ONLY water marble design that came out quite awesome. Holy crap water marbling is hard!! xD
5.  Newspaper  nails! I cut small pieces of newspaper and attached them with topcoat. I think it looks rather arts and craftsy with the heart (:
6. The first attempt at the nail dragging technique, I guess it turned out okay, but could have been better  ^^
7.  Floral design, painted with different colored acrylic paints in the same brush.
8. Spatter! Colorful splatter design, love it! (:
9. Henna tattoo inspired design I did on a friend of mine.
10. Pink zebra lace? Don't know what to call it, but it's quite girly and cute ^_^
11. Nautical nail design. LOVE the rhinestone anchor :D
12. Blue floral french tip. Fits great for the spring/summer.
13. Blue striped half moon manicure. So simple yet kinda fun (:
14. The powerpuff girls, yaay :D
15. And the last one, colorful glittery animal print! I'm so in love with animal print in general, it's so simple, fast and almost always turns out good.

So now you've seen a couple of designs from the past year, and I will probably post more old ones later on. Hope you liked the designs! (:

Helllooooo!!!! :D

So, this is the first post on my blog. YAY.
First of all, WELCOME :D And thank you for visiting my blog (:
So this is what I'm planning: I'll post older nail designs first, so that I'll have more time doing new (better) ones, hoping this is okay. And also the older ones don't have tutorials, the newer ones will. But if any tutorials on old design are requested I'll propably do some (:
The first nail design is coming very soon! :D
